Group Study Exchange News

We have not learned yet whether enough candidates were received by the District for the 2011 GSE Exchange to Australia. In the meantime, remember that it will take place from February 27 to March 26, 2011. Applications and info can be found on the RI website.

When the terrible earthquake struck Chile on February 27th of this year, Rotarians in our GSE partner District 4360, which includes Concepcion, the second largest city in Chile, suddenly faced the monumental task of rebuilding their communities, schools, homes, and infrastructure. Due to the quake, they were unable to host our outbound GSE team last spring. They now plan to host our GSE team from March 27 through April 23, 2011.

That delay has resulted in the inability of one team member and the team leader to participate in the exchange next spring. Therefore, the District GSE committee is seeking qualified applicants for team member positions and the alternate team leader position for the outbound team to Chile.
